We have a house!

We are pleased and excited that we have been offered a property in Forest Hall for a refugee family. Thank you, Home Group!

North Tyneside Council have approved it and we are working with Home Group to make sure it is suitably furnished and equipped. This includes installing a shower and fitting carpets, a fridge, cooker and so forth. Securing a suitable property means our next step will be to press the Home Office to allocate a family for us to support as soon as possible.

But, as yet, refugee flights to the U.K. remain stalled because of Coronavirus. We are hopeful flights will resume soon, however, as the vaccine take-up continues to rise and the R number continues to fall
